I look at them like...I love well crafted prologues. I look at them like the Hubble telescope. It's a wide-scope of the universe and covers space and time and it's largeness as it begins to narrow us down into a comprehensible here and now and maybe even hints of how's and why's. <br /><br />I suppose it depends on what you're writing.
